The Armory is a growing men’s ministry that aims to serve the young men of the local community and elsewhere, by strengthening their faith and their life skills. This ministry started from a small men’s group that came together and then really grew as a team. Once we had been together for a few years, we knew we were being called to this mission and so the ministry was born. We originally started with our first “Skills Camp” in 2019. A three-day faith-based camp that we now hold every year over Memorial Day Weekend. This camp is for young men ages 12-18 where we teach them outdoor skills to grow their knowledge and confidence. But more importantly, we root it all in faith and try to give them the most important survival skill of all; a relationship with Jesus. Through worship sessions, testimonies, and small group sessions we allow these young men to share their hearts. Between the activities and fellowship of the weekend we hope to create lasting friendships and bonds for these young men with both mentors and other God seeking peers. Our goal is for them to be introduced to the gospel of Jesus during the weekend and make known the salvation, freedom, and healing that is offered through Him. With an invitation to accept Him, if they wish to do so. But we’ve found that as we prepare ourselves to be mentors to this next generation, it is always us, the men of The Armory, that experiences the most growth.

At the beginning of 2024, we became a 501(c)(3) ministry (non-profit), pushing the ministry to a new level. We have since added extra events this year such as an airsoft weekend and a video game night. The hope is to continue to add to our events throughout the year to be able to build stronger relationships with the young men and have more opportunities to be introduced to new ones. We also want to sharpen the grown men of our group, as we walk shoulder to shoulder; continually becoming better and better men of God.
